Quick answer
Banks and regulated businesses commonly ask for recent Cyprus company certificates — such as Good Standing, Shareholders, Directors and Secretary and Registered Office — during account opening and KYC reviews. You can order them through Themis e-Services in a few minutes; certificates are delivered electronically in 1–2 business days.
Why banks ask for company certificates
When a bank opens a corporate account — or when an existing bank, lawyer, accountant or regulated counterparty refreshes its records — its compliance team will usually ask for recent official documents about the company. For a Cyprus company, these requests typically cover the company's good standing, its shareholders, its directors and secretary and its registered office.
Requirements vary between institutions and change over time, so confirm the exact list with your bank. Ordering the certificates yourself, online, is usually faster than waiting for the bank to chase them through third parties.
Which certificates are commonly requested
